Beth Secor
Beth Secor grew up on a horse farm in Monkton, MD, and has been riding
horses her entire life.
Throughout her life she has balanced her passions for foxhunting and
riding alongside her career as an artist.
Beth studied at the Maryland Institute of Art for four years and at the
Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts.
Beth furthered her education by studying with the renowned Mychael Lyne
of Gloucester, England, and she attended classes with the Chester County Art Association and in 1995 traveled to Africa with her son in search of further inspiration.
In the fall of 2005 Beth will attend the Brandywine Atelier course with Neil Carlin.
"What is striking in all of her work is her rich, vivid use of color and her sense of fun. Secor's zest for life comes out in her work."
